YAY!!!! FIXER enters tomorrow’s Oricon Weekly Chart at No.7. TEAM AKINA WE DID IT!!!! OMEDETTOU!!
VAMP member James reports “its sales for the first 2 days are strong enough for it to secure a Top 10 ranking, making it the first time in 20 years since La Alteracion made it to No.7 as well.”
La Alteracion was released in 1995. So this return marks a gap of 20 years (excluding cover album MEB which charted at 5).
“Though it only sold 8607 copies in its first week, we should rejoice that it still made the Top 10, which is great news!! Celebrations ahoy!”
Another VAMP Member Dan (me) heaves a great breath of relief, and then exclaims, “OMGOMGOMGOMG!!! Can I tell you guys a secret? I was very affected and upset for the whole day yesterday cos I saw her Oricon Daily chartings after the first 2 days (4→4→12→16→21→22) and I thought she wasn’t gonna make it to Top 10. It’s silly but her success and recognition mean a lot to me. Anyway, this is super good news~~~ thanks for making my day/week/month!!”

I hope this excellent news bring cheer to Akina when she hears of it. It is most deserving as FIXER is one of her best works and truly a masterpiece. Let’s hope it continues to sell well beyond this week and more people get to hear it.
